Södermöreskolan is a secondary school in southern Kalmar municipality with approximately 250 students and 35 dedicated staff members. Here, we work closely together, with short decision-making paths and good opportunities to influence the development of teaching.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

• Develop mathematics teaching together with the school's subject teachers.
• Identify students' needs and ensure that the right support measures are implemented in a timely manner.
• Document students' goal fulfillment through assessments and investigations based on the school's governing documents.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching for students who need extra adjustments and special support.
• Be a pedagogical resource in the school's development work in mathematics, contributing with special educational competence and current research.
• Participate in subject teams and contribute to planning, co-assessment, and collegial learning.

As a special teacher, you are a central part of the school's student health work and work closely with teachers, the student health team, and school management.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree as a special teacher with a focus on mathematics and qualifications for grades 7-9.
• A good ability to build relationships and create trust with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• The ability to work both preventively and remedially with a focus on students' learning.
• The ability to adapt teaching to different needs and to work in a structured and solution-focused manner.
• Engagement, energy, and a desire to contribute to the school's continued development.
